It ‘s an old country church was rebuilt several times following the earthquakes of 1732 and 1980. Already mentioned at the end of 500 in the ” Relations ad limina ” of the bishops of San Angelo and Bisaccia . Destroyed by an earthquake in 1732 and immediately rebuilt by the faithful , was restored umpteenth time in 1839. According to a map of 1810 , the original church stood to the right of those approaching it from Morra towards Taverna feudal Ofanto and just before the crossroads format with the ” road of Carre ” , that the ” valley of the Mills” brought in Selvapiana and Isca . The church , destroyed by the 1980 earthquake , was rebuilt on a design by architect Michael Carluccio of Conza. The main altar , in the latest arrangement , was donated by a group of emigrants in 1909 .
