Traditions of Carnival

According to tradition of Bisaccia, the guys went to the houses of neighbors during the Carnival for acting, dancing, jumping, singing rhymes and cheerful songs, hoping to be rewarded with sausages, cheese or some penny. Their clothes were funny and characteristic: the children usually wore daddy’s pants and jackets, buttoned in the wrong way, and the girls long dresses, skirts and aprons of moms. Today this tradition is unfortunately gone lost.
