The Church of St. Eustace was built inside the castle and is probably the oldest of the church of Santa Maria del perillo . The cult of the saint spread after a feudal lord managed to obtain the skull and kept it in a head of bronze or silver , from that moment he was venerated as a relic . The church was set to a mezzanine floor over the courtyard , the suoingresso was placed in the second door on the right . Currently with the renovation of the castle , the location and structure of the original palace chapel correspond to the arrangement ( and is indeed visible to the environment unfurnished sacred building ) even if intended for other uses .
